You will support and enhance the psychological care of service users by assisting qualified practitioners in the delivery and evaluation of cost-effective services that meet Trust and Directorate objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations.

You will support and enhance the psychological care of clients within the service, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions including group work, under the close supervision of a qualified Practitioner Psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the Practitioner Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.

You will work with community based women and their families and staff within Perinatal Mental Health Services. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Psychology Graduate to join our Community Perinatal Mental Health Team supporting women and families during the perinatal period.

You will be joining a well-established multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver an excellent standard of care to expectant and new mothers who are experiencing severe and complex mental health problems.

We have a very supportive psychology team within MPFT Perinatal Services. This includes a growing Assistant Psychologist peer supervision group, the opportunity to shadow psychologists, regular psychology meetings, continued professional development and service development sessions as well as access to excellent internal and external training.
