Job Title: Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Infection Control service team in London & Southeast, England. As a Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical devices and equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine testing of Getinge equipment to relevant standards
  • Undertake mechanical servicing of equipment, including electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Maintain and monitor adequate stock levels of spare parts to respond to call-outs in a timely manner
  • Produce quality service documentation for submission to customers
  • Maintain regular communication with the internal Service Department, Technical Department, and Service Managers
  • Provide sales leads to relevant Service/Sales Managers
  • Observe and comply with Quality System duties and responsibilities at all times
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering (such as City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification)
  • Experience of field-based work
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience of using CRM systems such as GForce
  • A positive attitude towards working as part of a team and on own initiative, and a willingness to travel and work away from home where necessary
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver the best possible service to customers
