Job Title: VP Accounting and Finance

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic VP Accounting and Finance to oversee our financial operations across the European region. This key leadership role will establish accounting processes and controls for QTS's expanding European data center business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Oversight: Lead the accounting operations for the European region, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Oversee the preparation of financial analysis, including ad hoc analysis requested by parent company and investors. Provide input to budgets, forecasts, and capital plans.
  • Cash and Equity Management: Ensure effective cash flow management and liquidity planning, in partnership with the Treasury department.
  • Accounting Compliance and Control: Ensure adherence to European and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Coordination: Collaborate with the tax department to ensure compliance with European tax laws and regulations.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team across multiple European locations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, including senior leadership roles
  • Extensive knowledge of European and international accounting standards and financial regulations
  • Familiarity with European tax laws and the ability to coordinate effectively with the tax department
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams

This position requires occasional travel within Europe and to the U.S. Flexibility to work across different time zones is essential.
