About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Children and Young People Services, specifically the Early Help Pathway, which encompasses Mental Health Support Teams and Parent Infant Mental Health Services across five boroughs in Greater Manchester.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead and develop services to ensure high-quality care and treatment for children and young people.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the ICB and Local Authorities to achieve service development and business growth.
  • Develop and sustain networks and positive relationships across Greater Manchester, regional networks, and localities to ensure the visibility of PCFT specialist CAMHS.
  • Represent the CAMHS Directorate at a senior level regionally and locally across a range of agencies.
  • Interpret relevant regional/national policies and drivers, including their impact on the strategy for CAMHS and services delivered to children and young people.

Requirements
  • Educated to masters level (or equivalent) in a relevant area.
  • Qualified and registered RMN/SW/OT.
  • Postgraduate training relevant to mental health/leadership/management.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Management/leadership qualification.
  • Other relevant clinical qualification.
Experience
  • Demonstrable significant experience as a senior clinical practitioner in mental health.
  • Management and/or leadership of mental health services.
  • Clinical experience in a range of mental health settings.
  • Delivering service/practice innovation, development, and change.
  • Knowledge of financial management and systems of budgetary control.
  • Track record of leading, motivating staff teams, and developing a performance culture.
  • Participation in local and regional professional forums.
  • Experience of managing integrated teams.
  • Experience of multi-agency working.
  • Experience of managing change, developing business cases, and service plan developments.
  • Significant experience in managing service users with complex and challenging presentations.
  • Ability to lead strategic planning regarding the CAMHS care pathway agenda.
  • Resolution of conflict/professional/ethical matters.
  • Proven effective leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of governance and best value practices.
  • Proven planning and decision-making skills alongside a demanding workload.
  • Ability to establish professional boundaries and resolve operational issues.
  • Audit and research skills.
