About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Children and Young People Services, specifically the Early Help Pathway, which encompasses Mental Health Support Teams and Parent Infant Mental Health Services across five boroughs in Greater Manchester.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead and develop services to ensure the best level of care and treatment is provided
  • Work closely with colleagues in the ICB and Local Authorities to achieve service goals
  • Deliver effective, efficient, and high-quality services in accordance with commissioning specifications and within available resources
  • Support opportunities for new developments and business for the Trust and any expansion of CAMHS services
  • Ensure systems and processes are established and operating effectively for service development, planning, financial, and performance management

Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant area or equivalent
  • Qualified and registered RMN/SW/OT
  • Postgraduate training relevant to mental health, leadership, or management
  • Management or leadership qualification
  • Other relevant clinical qualification
Experience
  • Demonstrable significant experience as a senior clinical practitioner in mental health
  • Management and/or leadership of mental health services
  • Clinical experience in a range of mental health settings
  • Delivering service or practice innovation, development, and change
  • Knowledge of financial management and systems of budgetary control
  • Track record of leading, motivating staff teams, and developing a performance culture
  • Participation in local and regional professional forums
  • Experience of managing integrated teams
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Experience of managing change, developing business cases, and service plan developments
  • Significant experience in managing service users with complex and challenging presentations
