Job Title: Exam Operations Manager

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is seeking an experienced Exam Operations Manager to lead the development and delivery of exams for doctors qualifying as Clinical Oncologists and Radiologists. As a key member of the RCR team, you will be responsible for driving operational and financial excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality exams that meet the needs of the medical community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans to deliver sufficient exams for the market/audience over the medium and long term, ensuring alignment with the RCR's goals and objectives.
  • Operational Management: Lead the implementation of plans and initiatives for exams operations, securing and allocating resources, and managing the overall exams operations budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the wider team to motivate and enthuse direct reports, connecting them to the bigger picture and ensuring they reach high levels of performance, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Operational Experience: Significant level of operational and financial management experience, with a strong background in managing operations within exams, education, or events.
  • Financial Management: Strong service delivery and financial management background, including managing budgets within a complex financial picture and developing long-term strategic plans.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the General Medical Council (GMC), and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
