About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their parcels on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver parcels to customers across the assigned area, using route-planning technology tools to ensure efficient and effective delivery
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve any issues that may arise during delivery
  • Prep your van and workload for the day, ensuring you are ready to hit the road and deliver parcels to our customers

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, paid monthly, with an hourly rate of £12.54p/hr. You will also receive overtime pay at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate, as well as 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (pro-rata). We also offer a company pension scheme, full uniform, and lots of opportunities to develop a career, including our trainee manager roles and Apprentice Schemes.

About You

We are looking for someone who is upbeat, self-motivated, and thrives while working independently. You should be organised, punctual, and have great initiative. You will also need to be committed to delivering great customer service, comfortable interacting with customers, and happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
