Job Title: Registered Manager

Job Summary:

Halcyon Care NW Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children's home team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and well-being for the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Manage and lead a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, incident reports, and medication records.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, including staff costs, supplies, and services.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Staff Development: Identify training needs and develop staff to improve performance.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practice.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Children's Home Manager or deputy manager.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills with experience of managing a team.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with children, young people, parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
