About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children and Young People's Team in Barnsley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support children and young people in need, working closely with families and other agencies.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk assessments to identify the needs of children and young people, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including education and health services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and young people.
  • Provide guidance and support to families, helping them to access resources and services that meet their needs.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Work professional with experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple cases.
