Job Title: Highways Senior Project Manager

Linum Consult Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in the South West, working on high-profile civil engineering projects along the M5 corridor and in South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and effective delivery of projects from initial pre-contract award to construction-phase delivery and handover.
  • Manage Site Supervisors and Site Engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with the Contracts/Operations Manager to plan, manage, and deliver project tasks and outcomes in accordance with scope and contract.
  • Review and validate plans and drawings, and interface with design engineers and draftsmen to ensure accuracy and buildability.
  • Engage and manage subcontractors to ensure safe systems of works are in place and complied with.
  • Manage the project's life cycle cost control, from pre-start budget to construction phase cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Monitor the payment of invoices and ensure safety is managed to company and legal standards across all projects.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline.
  • Professional Health & Safety qualification (CSCS Black card & SMSTS minimum).
  • 12 years' post-graduation experience in the operational management of civil engineering projects gained from a Tier 2 contracting environment.
  • Experience in concrete repairs and highways maintenance is essential.
  • Experience with Project Planning software.
  • The right to live and work in the UK, with a valid driving license.
