Linum Consult Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in the South West, specifically along the M5 corridor and in South Wales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the UK civil engineering market and a strong background in project management.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of projects from initial pre-contract award to construction-phase delivery and handover.
- Manage Site Supervisors and Site Engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with the Contracts/Operations Manager to plan, manage, and deliver project tasks and outcomes in accordance with scope and contract.
- Review and validate plans and drawings, and interface with design engineers and draftsmen to ensure accuracy and buildability.
- Engage and manage subcontractors to ensure safe systems of works are in place and complied with.
- Manage the project's life cycle cost control, including pre-start budget, construction phase cost reporting, and forecasting.
- Monitor the payment of invoices and ensure safety is managed to company and legal standards across all projects.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline.
- Professional Health & Safety qualification (CSCS Black card & SMSTS minimum).
- 12 years' post-graduation experience in the operational management of civil engineering projects gained from a Tier 2 contracting environment.
- Experience in concrete repairs and highways maintenance is essential.
- Experience with Project Planning software.
- The right to live and work in the UK, with a valid driving license.
