Medical Secretary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our Renal, Clinical Immunology & Allergy teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for patients, GPs, and other departments, providing excellent customer service and handling enquiries effectively.
- Liaise with colleagues to coordinate appointments and clinical information, ensuring patients receive timely care.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient data quality, maintaining high standards of administrative work.
- Provide administrative support to health service employees, including transcribing clinical letters and correspondence.
- Attend meetings, taking minutes as required, and use initiative to prioritize tasks within defined guidelines.

Requirements- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to use own initiative, and good interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working in a busy administrative environment.
