The hospital is dedicated to offering a therapeutic and safe environment for individuals on their recovery journey.

In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, providing specialized care to patients with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Specialist Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing individualized care and treatment for patients with complex mental health disorders, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and treatment for patients with complex mental health disorders, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, ensuring medical coverage is available at all times.
  • Draft reports for First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings, under consultant supervision.
  • Depending on experience, provide oral evidence at tribunal and hospital manager hearings, also under consultant supervision.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuous and appropriate medical cover for all patients.

Essential Criteria:

  • Full GMC Registration: You must hold a valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least 3 Years' Experience in Psychiatry: A minimum of three years' experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams
  • MRCPsych Qualification: Possession of the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych)
