Roke is a leading provider of technology innovation and consultancy to Defence clients. We are seeking experienced Solution Architects to join our team and help our clients solve their toughest problems.

The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect at Roke, you will be responsible for defining and implementing effective technology solutions to meet critical user needs. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.

You will have a solid understanding of Commercial and Delivery activities on major defence programmes and be able to apply architectural methods to define and assess effective technology solutions.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of the Deployed and Tactical Military Domains in areas such as ISTAR, Communications and Information Systems (CIS) and Cyber
  • Awareness of relevant technology domains including communication bearers, applications, application hosting infrastructure, AI/ML, networks, data, security and system management
  • Application of Architecture Frameworks TOGAF, MODAF, Archimate) and use of Modelling Tools EA, Archi, Rhapsody, BizzDesign or Windchill)
  • Experience in delivery of Solution Architectures within Mission Critical client environments
  • Ability to apply architectural methods to define and assess effective technology solutions to meet critical user needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to create influence
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with clients, including adapting to their culture and ways of working
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarise, write and deliver concise technical information and to apply appropriate data visualisation techniques
  • Proven track record in solution development, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers

Security

Candidates must already hold current SC Clearance or be willing and eligible to obtain this. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.

We will provide you with assistance in transferring your clearance, we also offer a high level clearance bonus.
