Role Overview

Objective

The Sales Associate role is designed to stimulate revenue growth and meet sales objectives by engaging actively with both potential and current clients. This position is vital for implementing sales strategies, fostering robust customer relationships, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the sales team. The Sales Associate will be instrumental in recognizing sales prospects, delivering tailored solutions, and finalizing agreements to achieve both personal and team sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Proactively identify and generate leads through diverse channels, including networking, referrals, and outreach. Conduct discussions with potential clients about training solutions, emphasizing the advantages and value of our offerings. Maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective lead management.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Regularly engage with existing clients to uncover upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, understanding their requirements and providing customized solutions.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to formulate and execute sales strategies that align with corporate objectives. Analyze market dynamics, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine sales tactics and identify growth avenues. Set and achieve personal sales targets while contributing to the sales team's overall success.
  • Sales Reporting and Administration: Keep precise records of sales activities, customer interactions, and updates to the sales pipeline within the CRM system. Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance metrics to the Sales Manager. Ensure all sales transactions are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Market Research and Feedback: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to effectively position our products and services. Provide valuable feedback and insights to the Sales Manager and relevant teams to enhance product offerings and sales strategies.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with fellow sales team members and other departments, including marketing and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer service. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities to enhance skills and foster a positive team environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role is advantageous, though not essential for entry-level positions.
  • Sales Skills: Proficient sales skills with the capability to effectively present training solutions, manage objections, and consistently close deals.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade clients.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to collective goals and success.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market, particularly in low carbon and construction sectors.
  • Proven history of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
