The Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial all-rounder to join our EIGHT team, which aims to broaden our firm's offering by providing solutions beyond traditional legal advice. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our connected services products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infrastructure to support product development, provision, and management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot operational delivery of products.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of product development initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, challenges, and achievements.
Commercial Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director with strategic planning for the business.
  • Assist the Director embed the new strategy for Eight, particularly by championing a more focused approach to product building.
  • Be highly visible and attend internal meetings to promote EIGHT and connected services.
  • Assist the Director with new product suggestions and building business cases for evaluation.
  • Meet with potential partners and suppliers to find best-in-class external capabilities and assess commercial compatibility with Shoosmiths' offering.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with an all-round skill set, comfortable in product detail and project management. Experience in strategic management and/or a client-orientated approach is particularly favored. Risk awareness is vital to the role, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable assessing risk. Proven stakeholder management would be advantageous, and the right candidate is likely to be dynamic and comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities.
