About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Commercial Trainee to join our team at Vistry Southern. As a Commercial Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our procurement process and developing the skills necessary to become a valuable member of our procurement team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of enquiry documents and the placement of sundry material orders and low-value Sub-Contract orders.
  • Chase tender returns and non-returned Sub-Contracts.
  • Chase supply chain for essential documents such as insurance and account information.
  • Raise material and Sub-Contract orders onto the COINS system.
  • Raise order uplifts as instructed and track the on-hold report for invoice queries, assisting buyers in resolving these queries.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 GCSEs, grade C or above, including Maths and English.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Strong arithmetical skills and ability to demonstrate negotiation skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a tightly knit team.
  • Willingness to work extra to meet deadlines as and when the business needs require it.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a commercial organization or in a construction business.
  • Hold a UK driving license to attend sites if required.
