Electrical Maintenance Engineer Lead (Huthwaite)

Axalta, a leading coatings manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer Lead to join our team at our Huthwaite facility in the UK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems and equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex technical issues. You will work closely with our operations team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Analyze equipment failure data to identify trends and patterns, and develop strategies to prevent future failures.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Design and implement new maintenance procedures for equipment monitoring and testing.
  5. Stay up to date with market trends and best practices in electrical maintenance.
  6. Develop and implement training programs for employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
  7. Monitor and maintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  8. Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  10. Manage contractors and vendors to ensure that maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget.
Key Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, and control systems.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
