Electrical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Jenrick Engineering in Derby. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility and retail premises in Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the projects team and respond to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete scheduled PPMs and follow Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies.
  • Ensure that the Retail Maintenance Manager is informed of any maintenance issues that may impact business performance.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with a bias towards electrical maintenance.
  • 17th/18th edition electrical qualifications as a minimum.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing business is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-known food manufacturer in Derby. You will have the flexibility to choose your two weekdays off, with the option to work Thursday to Sunday one week and then Saturday to Tuesday the next week. This will give you 6 days off between shifts.

Working Hours:

Saturday: 6am - 3:30pm

Sunday: 9am - 3:30pm

Two weekdays of your choice, to be confirmed each month with site.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £41K for 4 days a week (35 hours). This is an initial FTC for 12 months with a view to a permanent position at the end.
