Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with expertise in PLC systems? Picture yourself at the core of a cutting-edge food production facility, where significant investments have been made to enhance operational efficiency.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a transformative production initiative, collaborating with a committed team to revitalize cherished products.
This food production company is in search of a proficient Electrical Maintenance Technician with a background in food processing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
Your Role: You will play a crucial role in leveraging state-of-the-art technology and machinery to boost production and minimize downtime.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing your advanced PLC skills to modify existing software and optimize programs for smooth operations.
- Being the key player in reducing downtime and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing essential support during equipment failures and executing planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical assistance to the shift engineering team, addressing both reactive and proactive engineering tasks as needed.
- Serve as the electrical engineering expert during shifts, offering guidance and support.
- Manage and uphold the preventative and planned maintenance schedules in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate, plan, and conduct training sessions for engineers to enhance the skill set within the engineering team.
Qualifications:
- An electrical engineering qualification, complemented by a time-served apprenticeship with an electrical focus.
- Experience in electrical systems and installations.
- Background in operating manufacturing machinery.
- Preferably, experience in food production or FMCG environments.
- A solid foundation in PLC systems, including troubleshooting and programming, ideally with brands such as Allen Bradley or Omron.
