Fairmead Managed Services LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Cost Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough research to determine the cost of materials, transportation, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and contractors within specified timeframes to ensure project timelines are met.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with construction projects to ensure they are completed within budget.
- Prepare and submit detailed quotations and cost breakdowns for construction work to be performed.
- Support the bidding process for new contracts and collaborate with buyers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Monitor project costs throughout all stages to ensure they remain within estimated budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (desired)
- Proven experience as a Construction Cost Specialist in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
