Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a specialist subcontractor with a turnover of £107 million and over two decades of experience in delivering high-quality construction projects, we are looking for an individual with a strong analytical mind and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Pre-construction and Construction teams to develop and review tender submissions.
  • Analyse tender details and work with the team to formulate a suitable bid and procurement strategy.
  • Source quotes and manage procurement of materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQs) and perform material take-offs.
  • Present Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to senior management.
  • Oversee project cost control and financial management from contract review to final account settlement.
  • Experienced in working with NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Handle contractual and legal issues that arise during projects.
  • Maintain regular client communication to secure future business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a QS, with knowledge of Reinforced concrete Frames and Structures.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools.
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred.
