Job Description:
We are working with a 3-form entry Primary school with a GOOD Ofsted rating, located near Hackney Wick, which is easily accessible by public transport. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 child with ASD, with low to moderate needs, to support their progress through their Primary School years.
Responsibilities:
- Support the child with ASD in a 1:1 setting, providing a supportive and nurturing environment to help them thrive
- Work with a range of children aged 4-11 in the afterschool club, providing additional support and activities to enhance their learning experience
- Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement strategies to support the child's needs
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- SEN experience preferred but not essential
- Positive, proactive, and supportive approach to working with children and staff
- Ability to work 1:1 with a child with ASD and support their needs
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
