Position Title: Mechanical Services Manager

Contract Type:

Construction Resources is a leading provider of Mechanical, Electrical, and Telecommunication solutions. Our Mechanical and Electrical Division is dedicated to the supply, maintenance, and servicing of all planned and reactive maintenance for various client facilities.

Our Mechanical and Electrical Division plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of client properties, primarily focusing on the North-West region.


Key Responsibilities:

As the Mechanical Services Manager, you will oversee and direct all functions of the mechanical services division.

Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, team leadership, project management, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in mechanical service delivery.


Strategic Direction:

  • Formulate and execute the strategic vision for the mechanical services division in alignment with the overall objectives of the company.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, market dynamics, and innovative approaches to enhance mechanical service offerings.
Promote a collaborative and results-oriented work culture, focusing on professional development and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

  • Supervise the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical service projects.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and adhere to quality and safety regulations.

Client Engagement:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their mechanical service requirements and expectations.
  • Manage budgeting and financial aspects of projects.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are achieved.

Quality Control:
  • Establish and uphold quality standards for mechanical services, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical services.
  • To excel in this role, the Mechanical Services Manager will need to:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Be familiar with relevant software and tools utilized in mechanical services.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of facilities management best practices, industry trends, and new technologies.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Be proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the Mechanical Services Manager will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree or professional certification is advantageous.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical services, with a proven history of successful project execution.
  • Possess a full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and no bans within the last 12 months.
  • Be computer literate.
