Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of mechanical projects within our organization. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Compensation:
Salary is negotiable and includes a car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    Develop detailed project plans for each initiative, outlining scope and timelines. Maintain project schedules to ensure all tasks and milestones are clearly defined.
  • Site Surveys:
    Conduct thorough on-site assessments to confirm that client expectations regarding specifications, timelines, and costs are realistic before project initiation.
  • Budget Management:
    Estimate project expenses during the pre-contract phase using the company's forecasting tools. Collaborate with the Head of Mechanical Department to establish commercial targets prior to project commencement. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and apprentices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Contract Management:
    Negotiate contracts and orders with subcontractors and suppliers. Review and authorize invoices and variations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Implement quality control protocols to guarantee that all work meets industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks associated with projects and develop contingency plans. Address project-related issues proactively to minimize disruptions.
  • Client Liaison:
    Serve as the primary contact for clients, participating in pre-contract meetings and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure that all work complies with relevant mechanical codes and standards. Conduct audits of completed work and maintain necessary documentation.
