About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Worker to join our team at Crossreach. As a Senior Children's Worker, you will be responsible for leading our team of care workers in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of care workers in providing care and support to children and young people with disabilities
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs and aspirations of each child
  • Ensure that care plans are carried out and that the team is providing the highest quality of care
  • Manage the ordering, safekeeping, and administration of medication when on shift
  • Model excellent social care practice and provide guidance and support to the team
  • Act as a key worker to identified children and contribute to the setting up, carrying out, and reviewing of care plans
  • Support the families and carers of the young people and empower them to access local services and leisure opportunities
Requirements
  • Qualification to HNC level and SVQ3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)
  • Previous experience working with children, administering medication, and managing challenging behaviour
  • Positive, organised, and proactive team player with a real passion for making a difference in the lives of the children we support
