Are you passionate about making a positive impact? Boskalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to enhance our environmental commercial team, overseeing both existing and new offshore environmental projects, including marine mammal mitigation and noise monitoring.
Noise monitoring and mitigation play a vital role in minimizing the environmental repercussions of offshore operations, particularly concerning marine ecosystems. Underwater noise can arise from diverse activities such as construction (e.g., pile driving, dredging), shipping, and geophysical explorations in offshore wind and oil and gas sectors (e.g., seismic surveys). Implementing effective noise monitoring and mitigation strategies is essential for safeguarding marine species that depend on sound for communication, navigation, and foraging.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage projects, ensuring all financial, contractual, and other commitments are fulfilled in line with the agreed terms and the company's HSSE standards.
- Evaluate, prepare, and submit tenders, along with necessary follow-up actions. Conduct critical reviews of tender and project materials prepared by the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
- Act as a mentor to the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and experience.
- Review, execute, and manage contracts in accordance with the Quality Assurance System, which includes risk management, budget oversight, performance evaluations, and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with other Boskalis companies and external clients.
- Develop strong client relationships and conduct client visits and formal presentations.
- Assist in business development and marketing efforts for the Boskalis Group as needed.
Your Qualifications:
You can excel as a Senior Project Manager if you possess:
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of Marine Mammal Mitigation and noise monitoring.
- Experience in a similar or related position, including team leadership.
- Proficient working knowledge of the complete Microsoft Office suite.
- The capability to lead and deliver projects across all key business areas from initiation to completion is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of project, commercial, strategic, and/or financial experience, preferably within the marine or survey industry.
