Our Building Design Practice is seeking a seasoned and driven Regional BIM Lead (Building Services) who is eager to advance their career in a supportive environment. Join our team where talent is nurtured, and opportunities for professional growth are unparalleled.

We have an exciting opportunity within our organization, allowing you to be part of a national delivery team and collaborate with designers across the UK and internationally through our Global Technology Centre.

The Regional BIM Lead (Building Services) position emphasizes transformation of people and projects through the lens of Digital & BIM.

As a vital member of the Building Design BIM team, you will ensure effective communication with our National BIM Leads, regional leadership, and project teams. You will also assist in formulating goals and project plans to achieve regional and project objectives.

Your role will involve supporting the region in successful project acquisition, implementation, and delivery of Digital & BIM initiatives, while also mentoring project teams on best practices and solutions for managing projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and adapt strategies to meet client and project objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical, to drive project and regional transformation.

  • Lead a dedicated regional BIM team to address the needs of the region, projects, and clients.
  • Assist in implementing the national strategy for enhancing staff skills in Digital & BIM.
  • Identify and manage regional skills gaps related to Digital & BIM, and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams as needed.
  • Identify and communicate training needs for projects and the region.
  • Participate in industry conferences and share insights with the wider BIM team.
  • Seek opportunities with potential clients and engage in work-winning activities to showcase our Digital & BIM capabilities.
  • Implement the Practice Transformation Plan within the region.
  • Oversee the execution of all aspects of the BIM strategy across the region.
  • Contribute actively to at least one of the BIM Portfolios.
  • Measure and demonstrate how initiatives in people, processes, and technology benefit projects and the practice.
  • Support regional project teams in developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEP), including establishing project-specific processes and protocols.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to project and regional leadership.
  • Evaluate new digital tools available within the industry and promote their use within the appropriate disciplines.
  • Audit hardware and software requirements within the region to align with the national BIM strategy.

We recognize that many qualified individuals seek to advance their careers but may not be able to commit to full-time employment. We support flexible working arrangements and are open to discussing how we can accommodate individual needs.

As part of our commitment to a diverse and flexible workforce, we prioritize work-life balance. By default, we offer flexible working arrangements, eliminating the constraints of a fixed schedule or full-time contracts.

We provide a competitive salary that is regularly benchmarked against industry standards, along with a default of 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell additional leave.
