We are seeking an exceptional Director of English to join our Senior Leadership Team at Coleridge Community College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving improvement in the quality of teaching and learning in the English department, while also contributing to the school's overall strategic direction.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading a high-performing English department, with a strong focus on curriculum design, teaching and learning, and student outcomes. You will be an inspirational leader who can motivate and inspire students, staff, and parents to achieve excellence in English.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the English department to achieve outstanding student outcomes and improve teaching and learning practices.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum plan that meets the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve their practice and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the school's strategic plan and budget.
