Job Purpose:

To undertake a key role in delivering high-quality patient care as an advanced nurse practitioner, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and decision-making skills to assess and treat a diverse range of paediatric and adult patients presenting in General Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of diagnosis and management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment, and review planning process in partnership with patients and families.
  • Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives, encompassing the role of expert clinician, educator, innovator, and auditor.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the development and delivery of policy and procedures, development and implementation of nursing services, and providing nurse and clinical leadership as required.
  • Hold a PVG Scheme membership/record and adhere to the necessary regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

This role requires a high level of expertise, clinical knowledge, and leadership skills to effectively manage patient care and contribute to the development of healthcare services.
