The Role: As a key member of our Mechanical Design Team at ECS Consultants, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mechanical systems to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop mechanical systems from client briefs, working closely with our project design team to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including drafting drawings, conducting calculations, and producing specifications.
  • Undertake mechanical surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including Electrical, CAD, and Secretarial staff, to facilitate the production process and meet business needs.
  • Operate ACad and BIM systems, and undertake training in REVIT MEP to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assume project management duties, including leading consultant roles, chairing meetings, and producing minutes.
  • Conduct defects inspections and issue certification, and write and produce operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Produce SBem and Sap Calculations to support project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Positive, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable approach.
  • Minimum HNC Building Services Engineering qualification.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word.
  • Ability to travel periodically, with a full driving license and access to a car.
