Chandlers (Farm Equipment) Ltd has been meeting the demands of the agricultural, vehicle, and groundscare sectors for more than 85 years. As one of the largest AGCO dealers in the UK, we provide new machinery and aftersales support for renowned brands such as Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra, and JCB, along with a comprehensive range of complementary equipment from leading manufacturers.

Position Overview

As an Agricultural Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery, including tractors and combines, from some of the most prestigious brands globally.
  • Keeping precise records of all service and repair activities.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with machinery to ensure optimal performance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Demonstrating and installing machinery as required.
  • Collaborating with service and workshop managers to meet challenging timelines.
  • Traveling to customer locations within the vicinity of your depot to service and repair machinery. (A full driving license is required.)
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Land Based Engineering or an equivalent qualification in HGV, Plant, or Construction.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers and colleagues.
  • A willingness to undergo additional training and specific manufacturer training to enhance and update your skill set.
  • Experience working with agricultural machinery and a readiness to work overtime during peak farming seasons.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in challenging conditions and tight deadlines.
