Accountant/Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Accountant to join our team at Sellick Partnership in Chester. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, and providing expert advice on financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed companies
- Preparation of accounts, including planning, reviewing, and finalisation
- Advising and guiding clients on their accounts and other related financial matters
- Remuneration planning and self-assessment tax returns
- Overview of VAT returns and management accounts
- Main contact for clients regarding corporation tax and personal tax services
- Ideal candidate will be qualified or newly qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA, although a finalist or exceptionally qualified by experience accountant will be considered
- Excellent IT skills with experience of accounting software
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive self-starter and effective team player with a strong customer focus
- Strong commercial approach and experience in income and business taxation
- Ability to efficiently manage a portfolio of work in progress
