Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Nature Conservation Manager to lead our conservation efforts and develop strategies to protect and enhance our natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of conservation plans and strategies to protect and enhance our natural resources.
- Supervise and manage a team of conservation staff, including Nature Conservation Officers and Nature Conservation Apprentices.
- Manage the Ecology Centre as an education and visitor centre to promote nature conservation and sustainable living.
- Oversee the management and development of our Local Nature Reserves and other nature conservation sites.
- Develop and coordinate volunteer programs to engage the community in conservation efforts.
- Advise other interested parties on improving and managing sites for nature conservation.
- Represent the Council and Greenspace at events and meetings to promote our conservation work.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in nature conservation management.
- Experience in supervising and managing staff or volunteers.
- Knowledge of biodiversity policy and legislation.
- Ability to develop and implement conservation plans and strategies.
- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend.
- PAYE via Umbrella.
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
