We are seeking a subject specialist who can build positive relationships with young people, support them in achieving their long-term career goals, and use their expertise to unlock barriers to student progress. If you have a passion for Psychology and a desire to develop innovative teaching methods, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students and curriculum area schemes of work.
  • Set and mark work according to college policies, monitoring and reporting on student progress.
  • Contribute to the development of the work of the curriculum area, discussing policy and practice with the Curriculum Leader.
  • Attend parents' consultation evenings, interview evenings, and other college events to promote student achievement.
  • Prepare materials and attend Preview/Open evenings to showcase student work.
  • Interview prospective students and contribute to the preparation and delivery of the induction process.
  • Set work to cover absence, cover classes for absent colleagues, and participate in the professional appraisal process.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of recent developments in the subject/curriculum area and report on courses attended.
  • Attend curriculum area meetings and participate in recording student achievement according to college policy.
Requirements
  • Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Expertise in the subject area with knowledge of additional enrichment activities.
