Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technical Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field, with a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle being essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs in heavy vehicle mechanics and maintenance, providing practical instruction and demonstrations, and assessing and evaluating student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs in heavy vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
- Provide practical instruction and demonstrations on heavy vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their qualifications.
- Ensure all training adheres to industry standards and best practices.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the heavy vehicle industry and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching.
- Collaborate with other trainers and staff to continually improve our training offerings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field. Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle is essential.
- Relevant teaching or training qualifications (e.g., PGCE, Level 3 Award in Education and Training) or a willingness to work towards one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of varying skill levels.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in training.
- Familiarity with current industry standards and practices.
Benefits:
- New Teacher Salary: £35,000-£36,000
- Qualified Teacher salary: £36,000-£40,000
- Fully funded Teaching qualification & training for new teachers worth £8,000-£10,000.
