Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance Systems to lead our Finance Systems team at Checkout. As a key member of our Finance Transformation Team, you will be responsible for ensuring our Finance systems are operating effectively, providing value to our stakeholders, while maintaining controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage third-party finance systems, including Workday Financials, Workday Adaptive, Coupa, Dell Boomi, Longview, and Navan.
  • Oversee the delivery of security audits, access management, release management, and key rotation for the above systems.
  • Partner with the Finance team to improve existing systems and processes.
  • Act as an ambassador of change, challenging existing practices to establish new processes based on Finance priorities and Transformation objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Transformation team during new system implementations to ensure the support model post-go-live is fit for purpose.
  • Develop detailed project plans, RAID logs, RACIs, and report on progress to governance forums.
  • Own the roadmap of change and implementation for the team while periodic and BAU tasks continue.
  • Manage incident management across all Finance systems, serving as the first point of contact.
  • Implement, document, and own the IT General Controls (ITGCs) across the Finance systems to ensure a robust control environment across our critical business systems.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure effective and timely delivery of audit evidence/support during year-end audits.
  • Manage a team of four system specialists.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Finance systems, with experience leading or being part of an implementation of Workday Financials and managing the system once live.
  • Experience with controllership, purchase-to-pay, budgeting and forecasting, HR Information Systems, middleware, tax, and travel systems.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive, Workday HCM, Coupa, Dell Boomi, Longview, and Navan is preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize the work of a team across multiple systems.
  • Experience in finance transformation projects/programs where systems and processes are implemented and improved through process re-engineering.
  • Solid understanding of ITGCs, including setting them up in the listed systems and providing evidence of their effectiveness.
  • Understanding of best practice Finance processes.
  • Good experience in educating stakeholders regarding Finance-related processes and their impact on the wider business.
  • Good understanding of how Accounting processes should work to ensure they are efficient and controlled.
  • Ability to act as a project manager to develop project plans, RAID logs, RACIs, and execute a project across functions.
  • Good understanding of systems and integration approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills to identify issues and propose solutions to senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Able to identify problems, define the root cause, determine the solution, and propose it.
  • Able to translate technical expertise into solutions and process guidance to implement improvements or address user issues.
  • Able to map processes, outlining risks and controls.
  • Experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting.
  • Experience in managing system budgets and exercising cost containment/cost reduction.
