About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on an 82-unit residential project in Newham, valued at £42 million. As an Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will work on-site, directly supporting the Senior QS and site team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract & Financial Management: Assist in subcontract documentation, measure work, maintain records, and manage payments.
  • Subcontractor Relations: Oversee procurement and management of subcontract packages from start to finish.
  • Cost Monitoring: Track project costs, prepare reconciliations, and report financial status.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients on payments, variations, and final accounts.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in project and subcontractor meetings, assist with claims, and work closely with the Managing Surveyor.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably in residential construction with experience in JCT D&B contracts.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with a background in procurement and subcontract management.
