Kasmir Associates is seeking a skilled Senior Credit Controller to oversee our credit management operations. As a vital member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive credit control process.
Key Responsibilities:- Establishing and maintaining effective credit control and management protocols.
- Overseeing the credit control activities across various brands with distinct requirements.
- Identifying and implementing enhancements in the debt recovery process.
- Processing customer payments, including credit card transactions, and managing manual credit adjustments.
- Coordinating monthly direct debit collections and addressing any payment failures.
- Generating client statements, dispatching reminders, and ensuring the credit control workflow progresses to legal action when necessary.
- Utilizing specialized billing software tailored for telecommunications alongside new credit control applications.
- Ensuring compliance with invoicing procedures.
- Engaging with clients through various communication channels.
- Managing credit control inquiries and correspondence.
- Addressing complex accounts directly, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Administering write-offs, provisions for bad debts, and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Preparing monthly credit control reports to mitigate bad debt exposure.
- Reviewing and analyzing aged debtor accounts.
- Providing senior management with comprehensive monthly reports on ledger status.
- Responding to ad hoc requests for credit control and accounts receivable information.
- Implementing and supervising a credit assessment process.
- Assuming full accountability for all credit control and accounts receivable activities.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in comprehensive credit control and accounts receivable management.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks related to credit control.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective customer negotiations.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive work ethic.
- Commitment to confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
- Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Early finish on Fridays.
