About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Catastrophe Analyst to join our team at Eames Consulting. As a key member of our Catastrophe Modelling function, you will play a crucial role in helping our client, a leading Personal Lines Insurer in the UK, to grow and develop their Catastrophe Modelling capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Catastrophe Models to support the insurer's underwriting and risk management activities.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, reinsurers, actuaries, and data scientists to ensure that models are aligned with business needs and are accurate and reliable.
  • Conduct climate risk research and analysis to inform model development and validation.
  • Work with the team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Catastrophe Modelling function.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in Catastrophe Modelling, Exposure Management, Data Science, or Geospatial Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of CAT Modelling and experience with Python and GIS software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • A desire to work in a small team and contribute to the development of the Catastrophe Modelling function.
