About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Development Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community-based initiatives that promote social inclusion and support for people with dementia and their carers. This will involve working closely with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to identify needs and develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community-based initiatives that promote social inclusion and support for people with dementia and their carers.
  • Work closely with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to identify needs and develop solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, and healthcare providers.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness-raising programs to promote understanding and support for people with dementia.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote social inclusion and support for people with dementia.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a community development or social care role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
