Job Description:

Cedar Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Category Manager to join our client's Health category team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the management and renewal of c15 Frameworks within the Health category, which covers a spend of c£600m annually.

You will work closely with well-known suppliers and national bodies to obtain the best possible conditions and deliver procurement solutions that exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. Your expertise will be utilized to achieve effective deployment of resources and the provision of market and technical expertise in support of one or more Strategic Sourcing business process/services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and renewal of c15 Frameworks within the Health category
  • Work with suppliers and national bodies to obtain best possible conditions
  • Deliver procurement solutions that exceed customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Utilize expertise to achieve effective deployment of resources
  • Provide market and technical expertise in support of Strategic Sourcing business process/services

Requirements:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS or equivalent qualification
  • Strong background working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector
  • Experience working within a similar role in the Public Sector within Health (i.e. Equipment, Product & Services etc.)
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience using Frameworks and defining requirements with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of the new Procurement Act

What We Offer:

A competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, a £5,400 car allowance, and additional benefits.
