Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Are you a seasoned project manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure, or utility industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our team at Thames Water.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our project teams in delivering complex projects across our water and wastewater networks. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing project programmes, costs, and quality, and leading project teams to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project programmes, costs, and quality to ensure successful project delivery
  • Lead project teams to meet project objectives and deliver results
  • Establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset
  • Work collaboratively with our external supply chain and drive contractor performance
  • Support the definition of solutions to meet project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case
  • Effective liaison with relevant town planning authorities and critical internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery
  • Contribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets
  • Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water
  • Take accountability for governance compliance throughout the project's lifecycle, leading to a smooth transition into operational business
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure, or utility industry
  • An engineering or other relevant degree or qualification within a business or project management qualification
  • Knowledgeable in managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes with experience in negotiation
  • Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making
  • Confidence in speaking to all levels of external and internal stakeholders
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary from £55,000 to £75,000 per annum
  • 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
