Senior Project Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the month-end close and consolidation, maintaining accountability for specific areas in Accounting, such as Revenue, ERP Systems, General Ledger, Audit, Compliance, and assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls, and new systems/projects across the organization.
  • Ensure all revenue transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting principles and company guidelines.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of revenue-related accounts, such as accounts receivable and revenue accounts, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare analysis and applicable manual entries and perform month-end general ledger reconciliations for other assigned general ledger accounts; coordinate with internal and external contacts to review transactions and address proper accounting and resolve any variances.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and applicable income statement accounts with supporting documentation for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Compare general ledger activity against budget and forecasts, explain differences in expectations versus actual results.
  • Assist in the setup and/or maintenance of processes, procedures, and controls that properly capture, track, and report financial results, in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley, U.GAAP, and company policies.
  • Effectively partner and collaborate with cross-functional business teams and all members of our Accounting & Finance team (domestic and international).
  • Assist in ERP transactional processing, data management activities, business intelligence analysis, capabilities, and reporting, and other systems utilized by the Accounting & Finance team.
  • Provide support for footnotes disclosure for financial reporting purposes related to applicable general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for responsible areas of the balance sheet and applicable income statement accounts.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years accounting experience; recent public accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting and reporting systems.
  • Focus on continuous improvement in areas of responsibility to drive transition to “best in class” finance organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization.
  • Actively demonstrates the Lantheus values of accountability, quality, efficiency, customer service, collaboration, and safety.
  • SAP Experience is preferred but not required.
