Senior People Partner Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join City Facilities Management as the Senior People Partner, working closely with our Asda partnership.

As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for leading a team of People Partners and serving as the primary HR contact for over 1,200 colleagues across our head office, retail sites, and distribution centers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving culture and engagement initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience
  • Managing talent and succession planning to ensure the development of high-potential employees
  • Supporting operational change programs to drive business growth and improvement
  • Acting as the gatekeeper of all people policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on all people-related matters to senior stakeholders
  • Driving the delivery of people metrics to inform business decisions

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers remote work flexibility, with occasional travel to our head office and across the UK required. A driver's license is preferred.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of People Partners to deliver high-quality HR services
  • Represent the People team at internal and customer meetings across the UK
  • Develop strong partnering relationships with key stakeholders to drive the people agenda and business objectives
  • Build the people management capability within the partnership through effective coaching, challenging, and influencing
  • Lead the engagement and culture agenda in the partnership to drive performance improvement
  • Work closely with operational partners and the People Service Centre to manage recruitment, onboarding, absence, employee relations, and training

Requirements:

  • Experience in a multi-site business partnering role
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Proven change management skills and ability to deliver people projects
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced, changing business environment
  • Able to demonstrate resilience, empathy, and integrity
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and prioritization skills; strong results focus
