The Cornwall College Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Campus Services Manager. This is a key position that requires strong leadership and management skills to oversee the effective management of the Bicton Campus.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Ensure the day-to-day running of the support services, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of college buildings and grounds.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and support the estates manager in managing building projects, and manage the maintenance technicians to undertake repair and refurbishment work.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all compliance tasks and records are kept up to date, and conduct risk assessments and method statements as required.
- Performance Management: Carry out performance management reviews of staff, and manage the caretaking team in various areas, including waste management, post and parcel logistics, and security.
- Emergency Response: Organize and supervise routine fire drills, and assist with evacuation procedures in the event of an alarm.
- Vehicle Management: Assist in the management of vehicles and delivery of vehicles to sites or service agents as required.
- Traffic Management: Manage traffic movement and parking around the site, including student transport.
- Essential Qualifications: Full driving license holder, recognized qualification in Facilities Management or associated industry, and relevant Health and Safety qualification.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience of working at a management level, experience of being in charge of a team, and experience of facilities management in a college environment.
- Personal Skills: Ability to work as part of a team, positive flexible outlook, ability to work with learners in an inclusive way, and high standard of personal presentation.
The successful candidate will be based at the Bicton College campus in East Devon, and will be required to work flexibly across various sites within the area.
