Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Custom Pharma Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake emergency breakdown repairs and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency.
  • Assist the engineering department in achieving budgetary and equipment availability targets through effective spares management.
  • Identify and contribute to the completion of continuous improvement projects to enhance our manufacturing processes.
  • Support the acceptance and commissioning of new machinery and plant installations to ensure seamless integration.
  • Carry out minor repairs and improvements to the fabric of the site to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
  • HNC/ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ4 or time served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience of maintaining and improving pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, including granulators, mixing equipment, drying ovens, compression machines, and over-encapsulation machines.
  • Previous engineering maintenance experience within a highly regulated and/or high-quality manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Planned preventative maintenance experience on equipment mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and electrical control systems.
  • Fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and machinery electrical control systems.
  • Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
