Position Summary: As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for our UK Commercial sales divisions, you will be at the forefront of driving revenue and strategic expansion within the UK sector.

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Managing Director, EMEA, and work closely with the Global Chief Executive Officer, Advertising Revenue, to lead a team of industry heads and oversee the implementation of innovative commercial strategies tailored for the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage insights and digital proficiency to foster cross-platform revenue growth through consumer behavior analysis, trend identification, and competitive understanding.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to effectively execute global strategies within the UK market.
  • Drive revenue enhancement by transforming existing sales strategies and implementing new, innovative approaches across all platforms, particularly focusing on digital.
  • Lead a senior team of industry heads, each responsible for key verticals such as Fashion, Beauty & Luxury, Travel, Home, BizFiTech, Media, Entertainment & Auto.
  • Ensure the commercial sales teams maintain a strong emphasis on data analysis to establish team and individual performance metrics.
  • Elevate the overall commercial sales function, setting new standards for excellence and achievement.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients and agencies, while strengthening existing partnerships to enhance renewal rates and stimulate new business opportunities.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Editorial and Creative teams to ensure content alignment and successful cross-platform program execution.
  • Work effectively with Editorial leadership to deliver profitable, world-class events, creating new opportunities while aligning with the brands' creative vision.
  • Foster talent development and promote a culture of collaboration, performance, respect, and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading a commercial sales function within the media sector.
  • Extensive commercial revenue experience with a track record of successfully transforming and driving revenue across multiple platforms in a global business context.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a commitment to people management and a history of establishing high-performing commercial teams across all platforms, particularly in digital.
  • A creative, inspirational leader who fosters an inclusive and empowering work environment.
  • Experience in shaping and implementing global commercial strategies within the media and publishing industries.
  • A strong network within the media industry.
  • A self-motivated individual with high energy and excellent presentation, creative, and analytical capabilities.
  • A genuine passion and knowledge of Condé Nast's brands.
