Job Title: Night Duty Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Duty Manager to join our team at Clayton Hotel Bristol. As a Night Duty Manager, you will be responsible for leading the evening operations team and ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Evening Operations: Assist the Night Manager with the operations of the night team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Quality Service: Ensure that all guests receive a warm, friendly, and courteous welcome, and that their needs are anticipated and met throughout their stay.
  • Departmental Standards: Carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual, ensuring that all procedures are followed and that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance, body language, and conduct is maintained at all times.
  • Accident and Incident Reporting: Report all accidents, incidents, and suspicious occurrences to the relevant people and provide all relevant backup.
  • Fire Procedures and Health and Safety: Be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel, with specific regard to fire procedures, health and safety at work, and security regulations.
  • Night Audit: Carry out the night audit, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Sales and Revenue: Assist in positively promoting sales within the department and maximizing every sales opportunity.
  • Meeting Rooms and Security: Oversee the standard of meeting rooms for the next business day and ensure the security of cash, stock, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-12 months experience in a similar role.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee and delegate work to others.
  • Personality: A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team, this is a hands-on role.
