Electrical Site Manager
Location: East London
Contract Position

CV-Library is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee a residential construction project. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in residential projects with a reputable Tier 1 M&E Contractor.

Role Overview:
This position is primarily site-based, focusing on the effective management and successful execution of the project. Key responsibilities include overseeing customer relations, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, managing environmental considerations, and controlling project costs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing strong leadership and motivation to the team.
  2. Ensuring electrical installations adhere to the project schedule.
  3. Implementing rigorous quality control measures.
  4. Facilitating regular site meetings with stakeholders.
  5. Reporting project progress to the project manager.
  6. Creating and managing a two-week look-ahead plan.
  7. Overseeing subcontractors to ensure adherence to program targets.
  8. Assisting with the commissioning process and project handover.
  9. Reviewing project scope and preparing RAMS documentation as necessary.
  10. Submitting technical documentation for all equipment and packages under the project manager's guidance.
  11. Maintaining all essential site documentation, permits, and plant registers.
  12. Conducting routine safety inspections on-site.
  13. Proactively identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
  14. Evaluating working methods and materials to enhance commercial viability.
  15. Upholding the Company's Policies on Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, while embodying the Company's culture and values.
  16. Performing any additional duties pertinent to the role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Relevant qualifications in Electrical trades.
  2. Valid CSCS skill card.
  3. SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  4. Experience in a similar role with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.
  5. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
